Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common scaffolding questions, including services, quotes, costs, roof repairs, areas covered and what to expect when working with GB Scaffolding.

What scaffolding services do you offer?

We provide scaffolding across a wide range of sectors, including:

  • Domestic scaffold
  • Commercial scaffold
  • New build scaffold
  • Housing associations
  • Temporary roofs
  • Designed scaffolding
  • Event scaffold
  • Solar panel scaffold
  • Heritage scaffold

Each scaffold is planned around the site, the work being carried out and the access required.

How much does scaffolding cost?

The cost of scaffolding depends on the size of the project, the height and length of the scaffold, site access, the type of work being carried out and how long the scaffold is needed.

The best way to get an accurate price is to arrange a site visit so we can assess the requirements properly.

How can I arrange scaffolding services?

Arranging scaffolding with GB Scaffolding is straightforward:

  1. Get in touch — Call, email or complete our quote form with your project details.
  2. Site review — Where needed, we’ll visit site to assess access, requirements and timings.
  3. Quote provided — We’ll provide a clear quote based on the scaffold required.
  4. Scaffold arranged — Once approved, we’ll schedule the erection and keep you informed.
  5. Project completion — When the works are finished, we’ll arrange dismantle safely and efficiently.

Do you visit site before quoting?

Yes, where required, we visit site before quoting. This helps us assess access, ground conditions, property layout and the type of scaffold needed.

A site visit allows us to recommend a safe, practical scaffold solution that is suited to the project.

Why chose GB Scaffolding?

Clients choose GB Scaffolding for our reliable service, clear communication and practical approach to every project.

We take the time to understand the site, provide safe and well-planned scaffold solutions, and work with homeowners, contractors, developers, housing associations and commercial clients across a wide range of sectors.

Are you accredited and insured?

Yes, we hold recognised accreditations and appropriate insurance cover for the scaffolding work we carry out, including:

  • SMAS
  • SafeContractor
  • Public liability insurance
  • Employers’ liability insurance
  • Professional indemnity insurance

This helps give clients confidence that their project is being managed by a responsible and properly covered scaffolding company.

What is the typical duration for which scaffolding remains in place?

The length of time scaffolding remains in place depends on the project, the work being carried out and the agreed hire period.

For smaller domestic jobs, scaffolding may only be needed for a few days or weeks. Larger projects, such as roofing works, new builds, commercial sites or planned maintenance, may require scaffolding to stay in place for several weeks or longer.

The duration is usually discussed at quote stage, and once the work is complete, we can arrange dismantle safely and efficiently.
